Tier 2 Consulting Named One of UK’s Best Workplaces in Tech™ 2023

Tier 2 Consulting is delighted to announce that we have been recognised as one of the 2023 UK’s Best Workplaces in Tech™, following a staff survey with our teams earlier in the year.

Great Place to Work® is the global authority on workplace culture. After performing an audit of Tier 2’s company’s culture, programmes and practices, Tier 2 passed the GPTW Trust Index© for the second year running for the 2023-2024 period – exceeding our previous results! Subsequently, we have been placed on the presitgious list, recognised nationally as one of the leading tech companies for employee satisfaction in the small to medium size category.

“Receiving recognition as ‘One of UK’s Best Workplaces in Tech™ 2023’ fills us with immense delight and pride. It’s a testament to the incredible dedication and spirit of our team at Tier 2. While we celebrate this recognition, we remain committed to the journey of improvement. There’s always more we can accomplish to enhance our workplace and the experiences of everyone within it. Much like our Great Place To Work certificate we’ve received for two years in a row, this achievement reaffirms that we’re on the right track. We are committed to nurturing a strong workplace culture, upholding high standards, and actively pursuing excellence as we navigate the path ahead.”

Andy Kennedy

Managing Director, Tier 2 Consulting

Now in its sixth year, the Best Workplaces in Tech™️ list celebrates companies adept at developing dynamic, collaborative cultures that serve as a catalyst for innovation and personal growth for all.

Great Place To Work® UK administered their research-backed Trust Index© employee survey and analysed the responses of UK-based tech employees to determine the Best Workplaces™ list. The surveys asked employees to comment on how their company supports their work-life balance, sense of fulfilment, job satisfaction, psychological safety and financial security. Evaluations also included an assessment of how well the organisation was able to deliver consistency of their employee experience across all departments and seniority levels.

“The Best Workplaces in Tech™️ list is created using the anonymous feedback collected from employees within the technology industry about their workplace experience. In one of the country’s fastest-growing industries, it’s fantastic to see these Tech organisations putting their people strategy at the heart of the business and implementing policies, practices and programmes that sustain an impactful and consistently great employee experience for all. A huge congratulations to Tier 2 Consulting for making one of our most prestigious lists.”

Great Place to Work For All™

Globally, the ‘Best Workplaces™’ survey is the largest survey of workplace cultures and people practices. The methodology that creates the various Best Workplaces Lists is one of the most rigorous and highly sought after – and regarded as the ‘gold standard’ of employer awards.

Our employees responded to over 60 survey questions describing the extent to which Tier 2 creates a Great Place to Work For All™. Eighty-five percent of the evaluation is based on what employees said about their experiences of trust and reaching their full human potential as part of their organisation, no matter who they are or what they do. Great Place to Work® analysed these experiences relative to our size, workforce makeup, and what’s typical relative to our industry peers. The remaining 15% is based on an assessment of all employees’ daily experiences of innovation, our company values, and the effectiveness of our leaders, to ensure a consistent employee experience across departments and levels.

To be considered as one of UK’s Best Workplace in Tech™, we met the following criteria:

✓ Minimum of 10 UK-based employees
✓ Industry specified on Culture Brief™ aligns to industry categories published
✓ Must be Certified™ and meet the minimum Trust Index™ threshold of 65% (we achieved 95%!)
