Tier 2’s Sweet Success at Macmillan Coffee Morning Bake Sale

The team at Tier 2 recently held a fundraiser for Macmillan Cancer Support – one of Britain’s largest cancer charities.

On Friday, 29 September, Tier 2 Consulting proudly took part in the ‘Nation’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ by hosting a bake sale at the Business and Technology Centre (BTC), where our business is based, in Stevenage. The aroma of freshly baked goods filled the air as the team came together to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Macmillan’s renowned “World’s Biggest Coffee Morning” initiative is an annual event that unites communities, friends, and colleagues over cups of coffee and delicious baked treats, all while raising vital funds for cancer support.

Tier 2 would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone involved – the great response from all staff at the BTC who supported the cause, and to our dedicated Tier 2 team members who put in the effort to bake. From classic Battenberg cake to the Portuguese pastel de nata, carrot cake to chocolate muffins and more,  – the team displayed their culinary skills and helped to raise money for a great cause.

Tier 2's Sweet Success at Macmillan Coffee Morning Bake Sale

Tier 2 is delighted to announce that we have exceeded our £250 target, raising over £340 for Macmillan! Considering the traditionally quiet nature of Fridays for the building, we’re thrilled to have smashed our target. The JustGiving page is still open for donations if you would like to support our fundraising efforts for Macmillan:

And for those that took part in Macmillan’s ‘Guess how many Caterpillars’ game… Congratulations to Nikki Tyrer, a local personal trainer, who was visiting the centre on the day, with her guess at 122, only one away from the correct anser of 123!

The success of this bake sale serves as a reminder of the strength that comes from unity in purpose and action. Tier 2 Consulting extends its appreciation to everyone who played a role in making this event a success.

“Observing the incredible support and generosity from my colleagues at Tier 2 during our Macmillan Coffee Morning was truly heartening. This event was a lovely gesture to show our appreciation for everyone involved and to contribute to this worthy cause, especially if you have a connection to Macmillan and know how their services can support people it feels great to be able to give back. It was a fantastic way to commemorate the day and make a positive impact. I really look forward to other ways we can support different causes in the future.”

The Macmillan Coffee Morning bake sale was not only a fun way to bring the team together filled with sweet treats but also a meaningful way to support those affected by cancer. The team looks forward to more events like this in the future, working together to create positive change in people’s lives.
